It started as a trip to see what else we could find.
After spending the last two summers exploring familiar terrain and slowly pushing farther into the unknown, we wanted to take it a step further. The previous summer, we had found a line that took a serious mission to reach, and it left us wondering what else was hidden beyond the places we already knew.

That curiosity keeps pulling you farther out.
Around every corner, there’s another potential line. You just have to decide whether it’s worth committing to, or whether the best one might still be waiting around the next corner. Do you put the time into what’s in front of you, or keep searching for something better?
That’s the hunt.

This trip felt like a mirage. We found incredible terrain and rode some great sections, but we were missing that one big line that would make the trip. The potential was everywhere, but the conditions had to be perfect to unlock some of the massive lines we had to pass up.
We were chasing a powder day.
In the end, that’s what keeps us going. There are always more places to explore, more lines to find, and another reason to disappear into the mountains.

Even getting there was never guaranteed. Felix and I started with a couple of phone calls where he was telling me he probably couldn’t make the trip. Between work and some seriously rough water, it looked like it wasn’t going to happen. Somehow, the dates lined up, and we pulled it off.
And after everything it took just to get there, I’m incredibly proud that we did.
