Replacement pins that restore grip and pedal performance. Customers praised the "solid grip" and loctite coating. Most found them easy to install and cost-effective. However, one customer reported pins coming loose despite epoxy, losing 75% within weeks. "Aggressive bite" noted, with breakaway feature for easier replacement.

Chromag Shift Knee Pads

Love these new Chromag knee pads! Comfortable to wear, easy to pedal in, and offer surprisingly robust knee protection given how light they are.

They’re replacement pedal pins

They’re replacement pedal pins, what more can I say. They function as they should and it’s really nice that they are pre coated in loctite.

where did they GO !?

My new Synth pedals lost half its pins in my first ten days of riding and even with me adding epoxy around the nuts after tightening with Allen wrench ,another 25% over the next four weeks.
Very disappointed. You should include replacement pins with new pedals if you cannot secure them in their sockets properly.

Sorry to hear about this. There was an initial batch of synth pedals in 2018 that were assembled without thread lock. We are happy to send replacement pins for these.
All synth pedals produced since 2019 include nylon threadlock patch.
All pedals include 10pcs pin kit included.
All pin kits have nylon threadlock applied

I Like

I like the breakaway feature of these as this makes them easier to replace. Decent grip too. I should see if they fit on my non-Chromag pedals.

If you ride flats, you need 'em

Purchased to replace the shredded pins on my chromag scarabs. They offer aggressive bite, especially without the spacer. Helps keep me on my pedals. But when you do slip off...oh yeah, like my shins were attacked by a mountain lion. You know what I'm talking about.

Refresh!

Gave my Contact pedals a new lease of life, so much grip now and way cheaper than buying new pedals.

Yo, looking to buy new pedal pins. Currently have the Daggas and wanting to get some longer pins. Which ones do you recommend? There’s a few options and I don’t really know what they all mean.

- Chromag Crew:

HI Matt,
the Dagga pins you have in your pedals are the longest ones we have available.
The "long" pins that we sell are the same length as the ones on your Dagga pedals, but aren't as sharp.

Hope this helps,
cheers,
JM

I got your dagga pedals. I want to lower the pins. I don't have enough washers to do it and I cannot order them from your website. Please give me information for their diameter so I can order them from metal shop or provide me link to where I can buy them (or both).
Is there any way to make them less sharp and still grippy ?

- Chromag Crew:

HI Jacek,
The washers are 5.5mm OD, 4mm ID and 1.5mm thick.
They could get thicker ones to lower the pins further.
I know several people to have used our standard traction pins in a Dagga to have a large platform but a lower grip and less aggressive pedal.
Are you able to swing by Whistler HQ? We might have some loose ones kicking around.
Thanks,
JM

Can the CHROMAG Pedal Pin Kit be used for Bontrager Line Pro Pedals ?

- Chromag Crew:

Hi there,
thanks for reaching out.
Unfortunately, we haven't tried adding Chromag Pedal pins to Bontrager Pedals, so we don't know.

Thanks,
