20th Anniversary Primer

In 2023, Chromag turned 20.

To celebrate, we created a limited run of our Primer frames. We asked our legendary frame builder Chris Dekerf to set aside 10 frames and gave him free reign to paint these bikes into a spectacular rainbow.

Hand welded in Vancouver by, numbered 1-10, and including specially designed 20th Anniversary decals. Each of these bikes is one of a kind.

Chris Dekerf welded, painted and signed each frame. These bikes are steeped in BC mountain biking history.

These bikes were a perfect mix of classic Chromag style, Dekerf artistry and SRAM technology. LTD saddles and bars were mixed with AXS shifting and dropper post to create a clean and uncluttered bike.

For the Show n' Shine that year we had Chief Morale Office Charlie put together a showstopping display. All ten bikes in one place, for one night only. While the bikes may all have new owners, the photo collage holds pride of place in the Chromag showroom at HQ.

If you get a chance to look up close you'll see a history of our brand in pictures. From the very first TRL frame and cut block stems to the full suspension Darco and Lowdown the lifetime of Chromag products is represented.

Perhaps even more important are the people. Every person that has been an integral part of our story is featured in the collage. If you ask Ian and Becky, they'll tell you that the people have made this company what it is.

All of these bikes have new owners and we're excited to hear the adventures and stories they experience. It will probably be a while before we see all of these bikes in one place again but there's no better place than the Show n' Shine. Until that night, these photos will give you a little idea of the work that went into putting this project together.
